Genesis 1:1 is not included in Penn CAJS Halper 24 (Isaiah Genizah leaf with Masorah).

This manuscript includes: One parchment leaf whose main text preserves Isaiah 15:1–18:4, with Masorah parva and magna. The short catalogue title mistakenly says 28:4, but its detailed endpoints and the surviving text confirm 18:4. The margins repeat Isaiah 14:32–15:2, 15:6–9, and 18:4–5, so the two verses outside the main span are searchable too. Physical loss removes parts of Isaiah 15:8–9, 16:8–10, and 17:1–4.

Text and versification data come from UXLC, MAM, BIMA / Corpus Masoreticum, the Codex Sinaiticus Project, the DT-UCPH Samaritan Pentateuch, lxx-morph, and STEPBible. The viewer identifies the source used for each manuscript.

Page mapping and text recognition combine repository indexes, OCR, and transcriptions with kraken, Party, BiblIA, and other specialised HTR models. OpenAI Codex is used in developing the site and in running and reviewing this workflow.
