Genesis 1:1 is not included in Genève, Bibliothèque de Genève, Ms. heb. 3.

This manuscript includes: A partial Pentateuch followed by the three Torah passages of the Shema prayer on fol. 125v and a lacunose Esther on fols. 126r–131v, ending at 9:19. Genesis now begins at 33:8. A detached remnant between fols. 2v and 3r preserves Genesis 36:15–33 and 36:43–37:13; Genesis 36:13–14, 36:34–42, 37:14 and the opening of 37:15 are lost around it. Genesis 50:24–26, Exodus 1:1–6, and Exodus 5:3–19 are also absent at damaged transitions. The Esther bifolium at fols. 126–127 is bound upside down and backwards, so textual lookup follows each identified passage while previous/next navigation retains the present physical order..
